The amount of energy in our lands are transmitted from the whole nature.
It’s a process where any type of life receive and transmit that powerful feeling. Vineyards are of course part of that circle. Grapes are surrounded by wild plants all around the parcels to preserve the biodiversity. Wild life is also a part of that whole energy with their magical presence.
In full awareness, we try to recreate the ANIMA (which means soul in italian).

The Podere Vaibella soil have a pretty long history. As the other hills in this area we can find different proof from the past like fossils and shells coming from a few millions years ago. In fact our hills were much more lower than now. The soil use to be under the Mediterranean see and the Apennine chain wasn’t shaped.
In a more “recent” history on the top of the Montepoggiolo hill, a Florentine fortress was built (around 1471) giving us the feeling of this constant presence on the top.
The peculiarity of the Montepoggiolo hill is the artifacts recovered in 1984 / 1985 and dated from 850,000 BC. A few archeologist, by digging around the fortress have found several objects coming from the Paleolithic era. This is one of the oldest evidence of human life in Europe and now the second in Italy.
Human have chosen this precise hills since then to live. This amount of information give a us pretty unique feeling. The immensity feeling when we think about the fact that we are perpetuating life in the exact same area give us so much energy. We are pretty sure that amount energy is felt by anyone who cross our lands.

Our Syrah vineyards are located on the north side of our lands and turned toward the adriatic sea. Facing the Romagna region. We believe the vineyards still receive the sea breeze, since there is no mountain beetween the land and the adriatic sea.
Proof of life from paleolithic period shows us how human beings were used to cross our hills and how that place always had many reasons to be lived. In full awareness and full of dreams, we try to recreate the ANIMA, which means soul in italian.

This is a pretty unique mix of 3 cépages.
Cold and short maceration for an improved primary aromas extraction from our terroir, opens with a bouquet of pear, apricot, yellow flowers and flinty. The salty taste comes from the soil tipicity surrounding the vineyards roots.
